תודה רבהUpdating the VS-890 Operating System from Zip(tm) disk.
Use the following procedure to update the VS-890
using a Zip disk drive. The updated software
is provided as a single file titled "vs890.prg."The tools required are:
*IBM compatible computer
*SCSI Zip Drive
*SCSI Cable
*VS-890
*VS-890 System Update FileUpdate Procedure
- Connect the Zip drive to the computer and copy the file
to a Zip disk that has been formatted by the VS-890. - With the power off, connect the Zip drive to the VS-890 via
the SCSI port. - Insert the Zip disk with the update file into the Zip drive
and power on the Zip drive. - Power on the VS-890. After a short time, the screen will
display "Update Sysprg?" - Press YES.
- The message "Please Reboot OK" will be displayed. The system
software of the VS-890 has now been updated. - Restart the VS-890 (power off and then on again). The new
system version will be displayed in the lower left corner of
the display as the unit is booting up.
